What a quarter it’s been! From charity football matches to international summits, Q2 2025 has been packed with achievements, community spirit, and plenty of team bonding.

Here’s everything that made our second quarter absolutely brilliant.

Volaris events bring a global perspective

Indianapolis Ignite summit

Our leadership team travelled to Indianapolis for the Volaris Group Ignite Leadership Excellence Summit, and what an experience it was! The event brought together Sales & Marketing, R&D, and Professional Services leaders from across the Volaris portfolio for two days of strategic collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Jiggy led sessions on verticalization, expanding to new markets, and land-and-expand strategies alongside Roisin. Mark also presented on “Remake vs Remodel” in software development, sharing our R&D insights with fellow technical leaders across the group.

The interactive discussions and Q&A sessions provided valuable insights that we’re already putting into practice back at base.

GM summit in Washington DC

The Smith Portfolio GM Summit in Washington DC provided another fantastic opportunity for cross-portfolio collaboration. Mark joined fellow general managers, finance teams, legal, and group leads for three days focused on sharing learnings, enabling new tech innovations, and building stronger relationships across the business.

Artificial intelligence took centre stage at this year’s summit, with practical sessions on incorporating AI into our organisations whilst keeping people, process, and performance at the forefront. These insights are already shaping our approach to technology adoption and innovation planning.

Special kudos to the Volaris legal team for bringing guitars and entertaining everyone – proof that business summits can be both productive and fun!

Charity initiatives make a real difference

Mullet Mayhem for Macmillan

Kim, Rich, and Euan sported mullets throughout May to raise awareness and funds for Macmillan Cancer Support’s Mullet Mayhem fundraising campaign

The team smashed their initial target of £500, with a final total of £729.20, proving that sometimes the best way to make a difference is to make a bit of a fool of yourself for a very good cause. With cancer affecting so many lives, it was heartwarming to see our team step up in such a creative way.

SHINE balloon race victory

We’re also proud to announce that Gold-Vision won the Empowering Adult Members Balloon Race organised by SHINE (Spina bifida • Hydrocephalus • Information • Networking • Equality). This virtual fundraising event was a brilliant bit of fun for a fantastic local cause, and winning definitely lifted our spirits!

Charity football match

Perhaps the most memorable charity event of Q2 was our football match against Belleveue Mortlakes Chartered Surveyors & LPA Receivers at The Walker Ground in North London. Whilst we may have lost the match, we won at teamwork, community spirit, and fundraising for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

After a quick kickabout on the local field, a few stretches in the car park, and some essential pre-game snacks, our team gave their all on the pitch. The competitive encounter was brilliantly organised, and we’re grateful to everyone who participated, supported, and donated to this worthy cause that helps babies, children, and young people with life-threatening conditions make the most of every day.

Customer connections strengthen relationships

Specsavers Corporate Eyecare visit

Molly, Mark, and Rich had a fantastic visit to Specsavers Corporate Eyecare, meeting with Becky, Natalie, and Cameron to discuss all things CRM. These face-to-face sessions are invaluable for understanding our customers’ evolving needs and working together on process improvements.

British Chambers of Commerce meeting

Another highlight was Molly and Mark’s visit to the British Chambers of Commerce office in London. Meeting the team in person after working together remotely was brilliant, and we’re excited about the future projects and training sessions we’ll be developing together.

These customer visits remind us why personal relationships matter so much in business; there’s nothing quite like face-to-face collaboration for building trust and understanding.

Events and networking expand our reach

Palletline Beyond 25 celebration

Gold-Vision was delighted to sponsor Palletline’s Beyond 25 event, and what an incredible evening it was! The fantastic venue, warm hospitality, and brilliant atmosphere made it a night to remember.

Congratulations to Palletline Coventry Hub and the Health & Safety team on winning Team of the Year – well deserved! Zoe and Usmaan had a fabulous time meeting so many great people from across the logistics industry.

A special mention goes to Vigo Software Ltd for the lovely welcome gift of prosecco and chocolates, such thoughtful touches make networking events even more memorable.

Team building brings us closer together

Boom Battle Bar adventure

After a really successful Q1, we treated the Gold-Vision team to an afternoon of fun and team building at Boom Battle Bar in Coventry. From axe throwing and crazy golf to AR darts and pool, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

The standout discovery? If you’re ever stuck in a zombie apocalypse, Tom, Adrian, and Jag are definitely the guys you want on your team! The venue was the perfect setting to give our team time to get to know each other better outside the office environment.

It’s so important to have opportunities to connect with the people we work with on a more personal level.

Q2 all-hands meeting

Our quarterly all-hands meeting once again provided the perfect opportunity to bring the whole business together to reflect on Q2’s successes and challenges whilst looking ahead to Q3. These sessions are always invigorating experiences where we share insights, discuss strategies, and celebrate achievements across all teams.

The collaborative approach to reviewing our quarterly performance and planning ahead ensures everyone understands our challenges and strengths as one unified team.

Looking ahead with momentum and optimism

Q2 2025 has been a quarter of remarkable achievements, meaningful connections, and genuine fun. We’ve shown what’s possible when passionate people work together.

The momentum we’ve built through these diverse activities sets us up perfectly for an exciting Q3, particularly with a focus on exploring, experimenting, and developing AI efficiencies across our departments and continued development throughout Q3 and Q4. This innovation will add another layer to the incredible journey we’re on, creating even more value for our customers.

We’re energised, inspired, and ready for whatever challenges and opportunities lie ahead. Here’s to more milestones, greater community impact, and even more brilliant moments together as we continue to build something special at Gold-Vision!
