The 27th & 28th February saw Gold-Vision’s Annual Business review take place at the beautiful Coombe Abbey in Coventry.

Coombe-Abbey

The Annual Business Review gives the whole Gold-Vision team a chance to step away from their desks and get out of the office. It’s also an excellent opportunity for people from different teams to come together to talk and share ideas.

Over two days, we looked back at the highs and lows of 2019 and looked to the future of our product vision for 2020 and beyond. There were also a number of workshops on offer in the afternoon that covered a variety of themes:

  • Global business mindset
  • Quality: what does it mean to me?
  • Flexibility & remote working
  • Marketing reimagination

We even had time for some fun team building (with a Gold-Vision twist).

Building bridges

For this year’s activity, we were split into teams and asked to build a bridge within a set period and based on a specific set of requirements, the most important being that it must be capable of holding at least six eggs.

Teams got points if their bridge met the set requirements and then extra points could be gained in several ways, such as adding more than six eggs and decorating your bridge.

As you can see from the picture, every team took a unique approach to the design and creation of their bridges (and things only got slightly competitive).

To wrap it up everyone, including their partners, were invited to spend the evening at Coombe Abbey to enjoy a lovely meal and a chance to catch up and unwind.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s event, but in the meantime, there’s a lot of exciting things happening behind the scenes here at Gold-Vision that we can’t wait to share with you throughout 2020, so watch this space.
