Nuvia Limited is one of the UK’s leading nuclear specialists with offices across the UK and over 900 staff generating annual sales of around £70 million. Clients are from across the nuclear industry, Government and commercial organisations both in the UK and overseas.

Business Need
Following a major company acquisition it was necessary to have a single system that could combine all Nuvia client, contact, opportunity, order reporting and sales forecasting information. The new system needed to be easy to use, yet flexible enough to meet established sales funnel and order recording and reporting requirements.

A key objective was to achieve greater visibility and encourage data ownership across the Marketing team. Existing systems proved to be difficult to synchronise which resulted in inconsistent usage and relied on data entry by key people only.

Gold-Vision Benefits
Usage of Gold-Vision has been focused within the Marketing department with wider use across the Company for account and contact records and associated information. Nuvia use Gold-Vision to manage their sales funnel and to provide forecast information for senior management. Business Development Managers update their own marketing and sales data which is formatted and reviewed by the Marketing department.

During implementation Gold-Vision worked with Nuvia to provide bespoke screen modifications to meet Opportunity reporting needs. This has progressed following the release of Gold-Vision 2005 to move Nuvia onto a standard look and simpler window navigation. With the introduction of Gold-Vision 2007 and enhanced screen designer functionality, the Nuvia Marketing team now do screen adaptations themselves.

Training and rollout was dependant on the core staff involved in the original scoping exercise. The geographical diversity of the Company made this a difficult process and was challenging in achieving levels of acceptance.

The Marketing Department has the the “expert” Gold-Vision users within Nuvia and on an ongoing basis they look at how the system can be further improved to encourage users to make full use of Gold-Vision’s capabilities. For example, use of Gold-Vision Mobile for the Business Development Team will be an objective for the coming year. Due to the complexity of their system, Nuvia provides an excellent test scenario for latest customisation functionality by comparison to their requirements - Gold-Vision 2008 will provide significant benefits for Opportunity management and Activity planning for the Company. Responding to enhancement requests from customers is key to the way that Gold-Vision is developed. An excellent relationship has been built over the years and suggestions are welcomed from Nuvia. This can cover functionality aspects and also other ideas such as the set-up of a Gold-Vision User Group and forum that will be launched in 2009..
